She Persists is a series of three stained glass mosaic and polymer clay pieces created by Debbie Maier Jacknin.  The first piece, She Persists: Power of Knowledge, shows a woman attempting to burst a glass ceiling. Debbie left part of the ceiling whole because women still have a ways to go. The ceiling is beginning to shatter and is moving under the young girl, encouraging her to educate herself and continue the work. You can read more about the series at Debbie's blog.
